Goodbye Sugar / Alcohol / Dairy!

I set out on the 1st of January, like lots of unrealistically optimistic people do, with high hopes of committing to my New Years resolution - no more sugar. In a bid to give my CFS that final kick in the arse goodbye, give my digestive system a chance to actually function properly & stop my at times unhealthy relationship with comfort food.

Well, it may not be impossible to keep resolutions going in January, but it’s bloody hard. With holiday vibes still going and having time off work came a lack of routine, no excuses not to go out at the weekends and some boredom in between - I lasted little over a week... 

However! February is now here, so no more excuses. Work is back in full swing, I'm busy busy busy & don't have time to be anything but healthy. This month I’m taking part in FebFast and cutting out sugar, alcohol and dairy in an experiment to see just how much of a difference cutting out these foods from my diet will or won’t have. For someone who has a serious bond with chocolate, rum and cheese - it’s not going to be easy! But knowing that I’ll be raising funds for youths in need who are struggling with addiction will definitely keep me at it when the going gets tough and the ice cream isle starts luring me in.
